The newest and fastest Ferrari to hit the streets will also be the last V12 that they make. The 812 Superfast is the most powerful Ferrari in the world, powered by an all new 6.5-litre V12 engine complete with 790 horsepower. The 812 Superfast is the newest competitor in the front-engined exotic sports car segment and can reach speeds of up to 211 mph.

Ferrari 812 SuperFast front

No other front-engined production super car has come close to delivering this kind of top-end performance as Ferrari. Pushing boundaries, the name 812 Superfast is well suited for this new Ferrari, with a zero to 60 mph time of just 2.9 seconds. The number 812 stands for 800 metric horse power and the 12 signifies for the V12 engine inside. You can rent a Ferrari California T which also has a front engine setup but it doesn’t have such aggressive styling as the Superfast.

For the transmission, you will find a  seven-speed dual-clutch automatic inside. The 812 Superfast transmission has a unique designed transaxle architecture that combines a front-mounted engine with a rear-mounted transmission. We would love to add this car to our Ferrari rentals but only time will tell.

To assist with aerodynamics the active diffuser and aerodynamically molded body panels let the 812 Super fast glide through the air with minimal resistance. The frame was primarily created using the same space age aluminum from the F12. All of the intakes and vents that are seen throughout the car help air flow inside the panels improving aerodynamic handling. If you see Carbon fiber it is most likely to add visual touches.

The 812 Superfast comes equipped with the latest technology in suspension control systems allowing for unparalleled handling on the road. Equipped with Ferrari’s first ever electrically assisted power-steering system (EPS) the car handles beautifully. The PCV rear wheel steering system helps prevent the car from going sideways and was inherited from the Ferrari F12tdf. Thanks to the magnetic suspension bumps wouldn’t be an issue if you were planning on using it as a daily driver.

All this greatness won’t come cheap, the New Ferrari 812 Superfast will cost more than $308,000. The car can even be ordered with an optional custom luggage that fits perfectly in the trunk space. You can find more info on the New Ferrari 812 Superfast by visiting Ferrari’s website. This will be the last naturally aspirated Ferrari due to the fact that a combination of electric and gas hybrids seem to be the future of exotic cars. We’re glad that they went out with a V12 engine that pays homage to the first Prancing horse created in 1970.
