Feast your eyes on the first ever Electric Porsche concept car. The Porsche Mission E is a performance concept car that will try to rival Tesla by introducing a 600hp fully electric sports car to the Porsche lineup. The Mission E was reveled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) in September 2017. It will be a sedan that is set to have a 372 mile range and can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. The charging unit will be twice as powerful as today’s charging station via an 800-volt charger that will be specially developed for this Porsche. The lithium-ion batteries will be able to charge to 80% in just 15 minutes. You will also have the option to add an induction charger that is placed under the car allowing you to just drive up and begin charging wirelessly.
The electric Porsche of the future has typical Porsche proportions. The front has a look similar to the Porsches of the 50’s and 60’s but with a modern twist. The classic round Porsche nose channels air through the sides and under the headlights. A first glance at the 4 point lights in the front and it becomes immediately apparent that you’re looking at a futuristic electric sports car. The car also comes equipped with suicide doors which means the back doors open the opposite way similar to a Rolls Royce. As with all electric cars the Mission E comes with a trunk in the front and rear. The interior uses gesture recognition and eye detection inputs to control the media center and climate controls.
