the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster
It’s been a while since the release of the Mercedes-AMG GT so it was about time that a convertible version was released. This is the 6th GT model to be released. The convertible top opens and closes in 11 seconds even at speeds of up to 30 mph. An aluminum space frame and body are reinforced at the door sills and also at the cross member behind the seats for additional rigidity.
The first thing you’ll notice is the wider rear fenders on the Mercedes GT C roadster. The GT3-inspired Panamericana grille has the AIRPANEL active air management system. Vertical louvers sit behind the front bumper that open and close to improve aerodynamic balance and performance.
The Roadster comes equipped with a 4.0 litre V8 bi-turbo that takes it from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 196 mph. There are three different driving modes Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Race. The GT C Roadster also comes with the same rear-wheel steering and a limited-slip differential that was on the GT R coupe. Also included are variable stiffness engine and transmission mounts that firm up or soften depending on aggressive you drive the car.
